Student Hugs Friend, Then Shoots Her On Campus Near Noida, Kills Himself

In Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a tragic incident unfolded on the campus of Shiv Nadar University, resulting in the death of a third-year Sociology student and his friend. According to the police, Anuj, the student, engaged in a dispute with his friend outside the dining hall on the university premises.

Reportedly, after exchanging a hug, Anuj unexpectedly produced a firearm and shot his friend. Despite immediate medical attention, the woman succumbed to her injuries, as confirmed by a police official.

Following the shooting, Anuj retreated to a room in the boys' hostel and took his own life. Authorities have revealed that Anuj and the woman had been friends but had been embroiled in a dispute for some time, as stated by a senior police official.

The police have initiated an investigation into the incident, and appropriate measures will be taken, according to the senior officer.
