Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar box office day 11 collection: Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor film crosses ₹100 cr
The romantic comedy film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, directed by Luv Ranjan and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, has successfully crossed the ₹100 crore nett mark at the domestic box office in just 11 days of its release. This marks both Kapoor and Kapoor's sixth film to cross the ₹100 crore mark in India. Film trade analyst Joginder Tuteja shared the news on Sunday via Twitter, announcing that the movie has entered the ₹100 Crore Club. Additionally, the film has already earned over ₹122 crore at the worldwide box office.
Produced by Luv Films and Ankur Garg and presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar also features Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor, and stand-up artist Anubhav Singh Bassi. Kapoor's consecutive hit after the last blockbuster Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva, which earned ₹257 crore at the domestic box office, this marks his second successful film in a row. Besides these two films, Kapoor has also starred in four more films that have crossed the ₹100 crore mark including Sanju, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and Barfi.
In contrast, Shraddha Kapoor has delivered five films that have crossed the ₹100 crore mark including Ek Villain, ABCD 2, Stree, Saaho, and Chhichhore. Speaking to PTI in an interview, Shraddha found her role in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar "refreshing" and highlighted the character's confident and self-assured nature. Shraddha is set to work on Stree 2 after her recent appearance in Bhediya opposite Varun Dhawan failed to reach the same heights.
