Material preparation

Raw Carbon Fiber

Continuous carbon-fiber tow is staged on creel racks and carefully fed into the felting and weaving process. Controlling the fiber from this first stage helps preserve filament quality and determines the strength of the finished disc.

Structural formation

Preform, Layup & Needling

The carbon fiber is felted, woven and needled into a dense three-dimensional rotor preform. Each layer is arranged to create strength through the thickness of the disc—not only across its surface.

Density and geometry

Moulding & High-Pressure Pressing

The prepared preform is compacted in a precision mould to establish the rotor's bore, thickness and outside diameter. Controlled pressure reduces voids and produces a stable blank for thermal processing.

C/SiC conversion

Pyrolysis & Silicon Infiltration

The pressed blank is thermally converted into a porous carbon-carbon structure. Molten silicon then infiltrates the pores and reacts with the carbon to form silicon carbide—the ceramic phase responsible for high-temperature stability.

Final tolerances

Precision CNC Machining

The extremely hard C/SiC disc is machined using specialist tooling. Friction faces, ventilation features, hub geometry, offset and bolt pattern are finished to the target vehicle specification.

Inspection and fitment

Finishing, Quality Control & Installation

After surface finishing and protective treatment, every rotor is checked for dimensions, runout, balance and surface quality. Approved rotors are paired with the specified hat, hardware, pads and caliper system.
