Legal
Privacy Policy
Own Silent International Limited (“Own Silent”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use our website, purchase products, submit order-verification information, or communicate with us.
1. Information We Collect
Account, Order & Contact Information
- Full name, email address and contact number.
- Billing and shipping address.
- Order, invoice, payment-status and transaction-reference information. Payment-card credentials are processed by the applicable payment service provider rather than stored by Own Silent where the provider handles the payment form.
Identity & Vehicle Verification (KYC)
For paid orders that require verification, we may request information reasonably needed to verify the purchaser, vehicle ownership/association, vehicle specification and fitment.
- Full legal name and limited identity-document information.
- A copy or image of an accepted identity document when required for verification.
- Vehicle VIN/chassis number, make, model and manufacturing year.
- Vehicle registration document and/or vehicle photographs where required.
- Verification status, review notes and the date of submission/review.
We request only information reasonably necessary for the verification purpose. Customers should not provide unrelated sensitive information that we have not requested.
Technical Information
- Browser type, IP address, device identifiers and operating system.
- Access times, pages visited, cookies and analytics information.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Process payments, orders, invoices and shipments.
- Verify customer identity, vehicle details, VIN and fitment information before approving an order for fulfilment.
- Identify suspicious, inconsistent or potentially fraudulent transactions and protect customers and Own Silent.
- Communicate order, KYC, manufacturing and shipping updates.
- Provide customer service and technical support.
- Meet applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, dispute-resolution and record-keeping obligations.
- Improve website functionality and product offerings.
- Send marketing communications where permitted and where any required consent has been obtained.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent KYC documents or other personal information. We may disclose information only where reasonably necessary to operate the service, protect legitimate interests, comply with applicable law, or fulfil an order, including to:
- Payment service providers for transaction processing and payment-risk controls.
- Secure cloud-storage, hosting and IT providers used to operate our systems.
- Shipping and logistics partners where information is required to deliver an order.
- Professional advisers, insurers, financial institutions, competent authorities or regulators where disclosure is reasonably necessary or legally required.
- Analytics or marketing providers for non-KYC website information where permitted by applicable law and relevant consent settings.
4. KYC Document Security
Identity and vehicle-verification documents are stored separately from public website images. Access is restricted to authorized order-review functions and documents are not intentionally published on public product pages. Administrative document access uses time-limited access links rather than permanent public links.
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted HTTPS connections, access controls and restricted storage. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
5. KYC Decisions & Order Status
A successful payment does not by itself complete KYC approval. A paid order may remain in KYC Pending or KYC Review status until the requested identity and vehicle information has been reviewed. If information is missing, inconsistent or cannot reasonably be verified, we may request resubmission or additional information and may reject or cancel the order in accordance with the applicable Terms & Conditions, Return & Refund Policy, payment-provider rules and mandatory law.
6. Cookies & Tracking
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to provide functionality, remember preferences, maintain security and analyze traffic. Available cookie controls can be used where provided, and browser settings may also limit cookies.
7. Your Rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or other handling of personal information. Some information may need to be retained where required for an active transaction, legal obligation, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute or other lawful purpose.
Privacy and data requests can be sent to sales@ownsilent.international.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, accounting, security, fraud, warranty, dispute and transaction-record requirements. KYC documents should not be kept longer than reasonably necessary for verification and any applicable record-keeping or dispute obligations. Retention periods may therefore vary by order and jurisdiction.
9. International Data Transfers
Own Silent International Limited operates internationally. Information may be processed or stored outside the customer's country where our service providers or business operations are located, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.
10. Third-Party Links & Children's Privacy
Third-party sites and payment services operate under their own privacy terms. Our services are intended for adults purchasing automotive products, and we do not knowingly request KYC documents from children.
